The Velvet Underground & Nico chegou às prateleiras em 1967 – o melhor ano do mundo, como já mostramos aqui.
Ainda hoje, é tido como uma das mais importantes estreias do rock, ao ponto de figurar na lista dos 500 melhores álbuns de todos os tempos da Rolling Stone. E teve como mentor ninguém menos que Andy Warhol, grande nome da pop art.
Em 2012, ao completar 45 anos, a bolacha ganha marecida homenagem: The Velvet Underground & Nico 45th Anniversary Edition, uma reedição comemorativa cheia de atrações especiais.
No dia primeiro de outubro, a gravadora Universal lança um box com seis discos, em versões mono e estéreo. Eles trazem até algumas produções feitas na época da Factory, estúdio de arte de Warhol.
