Battle for the Sun foi produzido por David Bottrill (Muse, Silverchair) e marca a entrada do novo baterista, Steve Forrest. O disco foi gravado em Toronto, Canadá, e mixado por Alan Moulder, famoso pelos trabalhos com o Nine Inch Nails.
